Shoes are Cordners' broadest category — covering everything from formal Oxfords for the workplace to slip-on casuals for everyday wear. We stock over 80 brands across men's, women's and children's, hand-picked by our buying team for fit, comfort, durability and value.

The right shoe depends on the occasion. For business and formal wear, look at Loake (Goodyear-welted English shoes that can be resoled), Lloyd & Pryce (Irish-designed smart footwear), Bugatti (German lifestyle smart-casual) and Clarks (the British classics). For everyday smart-casual, Skechers, Rieker, Clarks and Gabor lead the comfort range. For weekend casuals, Crocs, Vans, Hush Puppies and Lacoste.

Fit matters in shoes more than any other category. Length is one thing; width is the often-overlooked factor that makes the difference between a comfortable shoe and a painful one. Many of our brands offer multiple width fittings (D, E, EE, EEE designations) — check each product page or visit a Cordners store for proper measuring.

Care: leather shoes benefit from regular polishing and conditioning. Apply quality cream polish every few wears. Use shoe trees when not in use. Suede needs brushing and waterproofing. Patent leather wipes clean with a damp cloth. Goodyear-welted shoes (Loake, Clarks Originals, some Lloyd & Pryce) can be resoled by a good cobbler — extending the shoe's life by years.

Children's shoes deserve their own consideration. Growing feet need proper measurement every 8-10 weeks during active growth phases. Free children's foot measuring is available at every Cordners store — our staff are trained by Start-Rite and Clarks on proper children's fitting. We strongly recommend in-person fitting for any child under five.
