Rieker is a German footwear maker established in 1874, making it one of Europe's oldest shoe brands still in family ownership. Heinrich Rieker started the company making leather slippers; today the brand makes around 50 million pairs a year across men's, women's and kids' ranges, with a clear focus on what they call Anti-Stress technology.

Anti-Stress is Rieker's signature construction: lightweight (each shoe is engineered to be as light as possible), flexible (the sole bends easily with the foot), and shock-absorbing (a foam midsole takes the impact out of each step). The result is a shoe that feels almost weightless after a few minutes of wear and that doesn't tire the foot during long walking days.
